Dr. Tansar Mir is a double board certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He is a fully licensed solo practitioner in private practice. Dr. Mir’s training with the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, PC, the oldest and largest plastic surgical group in the country, has exposed him to all facets of reconstructive, hand, burn and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Mir has a particular interest in cosmetic surgery. He performs all breast, body and facial plastic surgical procedures. Dr. Mir is well-versed and trained in the latest plastic surgical advances and utilizes such techniques in his surgical approach.

What sets Dr. Mir aside from other capable physicians is his bedside manner. Dr. Mir gives all of his patients his undivided attention and thoroughly explains all aspects of their surgery. He is compassionate and sensitive to all of his patients’ needs and enjoys interacting with them. Your consultation with Dr. Mir will be not only be informative and educational, but also enjoyable.

Dr. Mir’s primary office is conveniently located on Park Avenue on the upper east side of Manhattan. It is here where he performs his elective, cosmetic plastic surgical procedures. The office boasts a fully accredited, AAAHC operating room with general anesthesia capabilities. A professional team consisting of a board certified anesthesiologist, a scrub technician, and fully-licensed nurses offers the highest standard of medical and surgical care with the convenience and privacy of an out-patient surgical facility.

In addition to surgical procedures, Dr. Mir also performs many less invasive procedures, such as Botox and dermal fillers such as Juvéderm, Radiesse, and Restylane, fat transfer, laser skin resurfacing, laser hair removal, mole removal, repair of torn earlobes and chemical peels. Dr. Mir’s approach to facial rejuvenation focuses on accentuating one’s features in a natural and aesthetically pleasing manner. He firmly believes that subtle changes can provide drastic results without an unnatural flair.

Dr. Mir is also on staff at many of the top tier hospitals in the area, including Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan Ear, Eye & Throat Hospital, The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, The New York Downtown Hospital, and Methodist Hospital. Dr. Mir also has affiliations with many other hospitals on Long Island. It is at these hospitals where Dr. Mir performs reconstructive surgery including breast reconstruction, abdominal wall reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction and hand surgery.
